It’s Chase Ace, Deluxe Comments Comment

April 30th, 2008 ,

My friends and colleagues in Space Time Foam have just launched their latest offering, Chase Ace Deluxe. It’s a fast paced retro space shooter featuring awesome ’splosions. You really need to watch a video (or another video) to see what it’s all about, and why their 15$ price tag is a bargain.

Reeling From Sidereel Comments 5 Comments

January 25th, 2008 , ,

Sidereel.com is the discovery of the month. It’s a website that gathers links to TV-shows hosted on a plethora of video services all over the web. While it looks legal, however, I’m pretty sure it’s not. But it should be.

The Dark Knight Trailer Comments 6 Comments

December 17th, 2007

In this case, the dark knight in question is actually Batman, as this is a sequel to 2005s quite adequate Batman Begins. Go on ahead and watch the new trailer. Great take on the Joker, but annoying that Batmans love interest was re-cast instead of re-placed.

A Bioshocked Halloween Comments Comment

November 1st, 2007 ,

Due to motion sickness I have not yet had the distinct pleasure of enjoying what I’m told is art, namely Bioshock. I have, however, seen others play it, so at least I can enjoy father and daughter as big daddy and little sister, all dressed up for Halloween.

Retrospectively Comments 2 Comments

September 6th, 2007 ,

I’m enjoying more and more the Gametrailers.com “video game retrospectives”. Most recently, the Metroid retrospective took me back to the first, classic, NES 8-bit adventure. Those were the days. Be sure to also catch the retrospectives on Zelda and Final Fantasy.

First!

Perhaps you’ve seen it before, sometimes as the first comment on a blogpost, sometimes as the second. It is, of course, the work of a first poster.

Futurama’s Back Baby! Comments Comment

August 6th, 2007 ,

From the YouTube description:

An introduction trailer shown at the 2007 International Comic-con in San Diego, CA. This video was only shown to about 4,000 people. The producers plan to release the 16 new episodes by spliting up 4 full-length DVDs that will be released both on DVD and shown on Comedy Central.

It’s great to see Futurama returning to our screens in 2008, but 16 episodes is a little bit less than a full season. I certainly hope the DVDs will sell so well that Futurama can finally pull a Family Guy and return for many years.

YouTube + Quality = Profit? Comments 8 Comments

June 4th, 2007 ,

YouTube annoys me to no end. It’s loaded with dimwitted comments, and it’s design, while simplish, is ugly. Even so, videos like these Transformers clips ([1], [2]) keep me coming back. So, now that we have to put up with all the other things, can’t Google at least improve the video quality? I know I’d willingly sacrifice at least 1 GB from my Gmail account if it made a difference. Can anyone tell me why the quality has to be last-century?

With Donald Rumsfeld on the way out (why now, why not twenty years ago?), Craig Ferguson of the Late Late Show presents a fitting goodbye-video.
