I’m A Google Boy
When my Firefox starts, at home or at work, it loads my Google Personalized Homepage with my Google ToDo List, my Google Calendar, my Google Notebook and a preview of my Google Gmail. My bookmarks are syncronized using Google Browser Sync. Now I’m wondering what I did before Google. I wonder how long it’ll be ’till we all switch to GooOS.

Trust me, it IS incredibly cool. It’s was a bit wonky in the beginning when it tried merging my home bookmarks with my work bookmarks, but now it just works. The cool thing is, if I’m at work reading something and have to go home, I just drag it to the bookmarks bar and it’ll be there when I get home.
Neve tried google browser sync myself (I just use del.icio.us) but it looks great. I don’t use google that much, I like to use session saver and load my previous sessions (too bad this can’t be synced). Sorry thats incorrect, you can transfer tabs, maybe this is what im going to use then, thanks for the link :P
Actually I think Google Browser Sync can store your sessions (or at least “Tabs & Windows”), but I believe I turned that off. Now I have both Session Saver and Google Browser Sync turned on at the same time, despite Google’s recommendations not to do so. It works great. Just make sure they don’t overlap.

I am surprised you don’t use google reader.
But than that, I am right there with you.
I also used google desktop search before I found Colibri for PC.
I didn’t try it after the redesign. I might. But I actually think Google Personalized is fine as my news aggregator / pseudo reader. I don’t immediately see where Google Reader fits into the mix.
I have wanted to like desktop search since it came out, but somehow I’ve always found it slightly annoying. Though on one or two occasions, the desktop search cache has saved an HTML file for me, but this is hardly enough for me to keep it.
Well, you can have google reader integrate into your personalized page. Personally, I only use Google Reader and Mail. All my bookmarks go to Ma.gnolia. And I use 37Signals Backpack for todos and notes.

I’d like a todo that was better than the IG module, but it’ll do for now, considering the fact that it IS an IG module.
Oh, and I just discovered that subscribing to a feed using Firefox 2, selecting Google Reader, Google appropriately lets you subscribe using Google Personalized instead. Very cool.
I am banking on the google tools, simply because I deem they have the highest chance of getting wide support, like syncing to portable devices, integration with desktop apps, etc.
I’m using most of these tools with the acception of Google Sync. That’s only because I’m running Camino as my primary browser. I chose to use del.ico.us instead.
Gmail rocks. Nothing beats having one central location for all my email addresses. After my last crash I lost a lot of archived emails. Gmail has become my email backup system by default. I was very excited when the Google Homepage added tabs. I now have 3 tabs. One of which is dedicated specifically to bloggers I like to read. Keep up the blogging!
Don’t know so much about Google Calendar (other than very good things from well-informed friends), but I feel the same way about Google Browser Sync. Man, I love that little tool. Considering I spend most of my bookmarking time at work, it’s a beautiful system I have now…bookmark during the day (ahem, during lunch hour I say!) and read up at night at home…I still use Apple’s Calendar thanks to the .mac Sync option…if I knew of an easier way to sync up my calendars (work and home) through Google’s calendar, I’d make the switch.
